8.6 miles of Rim Trail ranging from 5365 to 6312 ft elevation as well as a 5k forest loop

The 5K race is a loop race (yellow in map) that will start and end at the Pine trailhead. The 8.6 mile race (blue in map) will start will start in Pine Canyon and finish at the Pine trailhead.

The venue is also at Pine Trailhead in the Tonto National Forest just off Highway 87 about a quarter mile south of Pine, Arizona (link for map location). Free parking and camping is available about a half mile south of the trailhead off of Hwy 87 (.1 mile north of mile marker 266).

Runners for the 8.6 mile trail race will be bused to the starting area near the Pine Canyon trail. The rim trail course goes south on the Pine Canyon Trail to the Pine View Trail then onto the Highline trial and finishing at the Pine Trailhead. The 5K race is a loop on the Pine Canyon and newly re-routed Pine View Trail.

Much of the trails have recently been re-routed and provide very runnable surfaces.
